Scoozis have really delicious waffles for breakfast/brunch. They’re light and fluffy, served with either chocolate sauce and cream or fruit and maple syrup. Great service and very friendly staff.
Highly recommend Ron’s Ranch - our daughter had a number of choices and was delighted with her food. The staff were very aware of coeliac requirements and the lady who was looking after us even opened a new tub of ice cream to be sure there was no cross contamination. We’ll definitely be returning, felt very safe.
We had a fantastic experience in Coqbull, which has a really good choice of food for coeliacs. I asked if they had gluten free ketchup as Heinz was on the table. The lady we were dealing with said that they usually used a GF brand on the tables. She managed to find a bottle for us and, in the meantime, they sent someone to the Tesco nearby to buy one for us - that service is above and beyond! The food was delicious, plenty of choice for everyone with one coeliac and one vegetarian in the family. Delicious food, great atmosphere, exceptional service, child friendly.
Garryvoe Hotel is a lovely location for dinner, and is right beside the beach and playground. The staff are very coeliac-aware - I think a family member is coeliac. A number of choices are listed as GF but it appears limited. For coeliac children, the chips are GF and they can have chicken breast with gravy but speak to whoever is looking after you because there’s actually more available. For example, they have GF brioche buns on the main menu and their burgers are GF so we were able to get a GF burger for our daughter even though it wasn’t on the children’s menu. Similarly, the sundae is not listed as GF because it has a cone but if you take that out it’s suitable. All our food was delicious, we had a lovely, relaxed meal.
We were really looking forward to eating here having read a lot of recommendations for coeliacs. We were so disappointed to hear the there was a high possibility of cross-contamination when we spoke to a staff member.
Load of choice here for coeliacs, high level of awareness. Limited seating inside, outside eating area overlooking the sea and takeaway service available.
Michelle has a stall at the Midleton market every Saturday with a great variety of delicious cakes, buns, breads etc. She also takes orders for birthdays etc. Highly recommended!
